First National Bank’s Seadrift Branch celebrated its grand re-opening on Wednesday, July 20. The bank had been in temporary quarters for some months while the facility was expanded and remodeled. Branch Manager Jason Jones, invites you to come by and see the facilities, and climb the lighthouse tower for a view of the City.

The Seadrift Chamber of Commerce members and the community gathered on Wednesday, August 4th to celebrate Bubba’s Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting Ceremony!

Bubba and Sylvia welcomed everyone with lots of other tasty treats on the house! Live music, laughter and a spicy aroma filled the room as trays and trays of shrimp, blue crab, Dungeness crab, crawfish, potatoes, sausage and corn were enjoyed by all. The laid back, coastal atmosphere was definitely the place to be!

“Thank you to all that have helped make this happen.” said Bubba as he proudly stood in front of the crowd in his white shrimper boots. “We would not be here if it wasn’t for the staff, our friends and everyone’s hard work and support.”

It was a great event and if you didn’t make it to the grand opening, check it out soon. Bubba’s now serves juicy steaks plus BYOB, can it get any better?

Friends and family celebrated Bay Breeze Real Estate and The Tax Depot's Open House and Ribbon Cutting Ceremony with Capt. Cindy Alford on Friday, December 18th. Bay Breeze Real Estate and The Tax Depot is located at 305 E. Broadway in Seadrift and is owned and operated by Chamber President, Capt. Cindy Alford.

Community and Chamber members gathered at 202 W. Broadway Avenue on Highway 185 to attend Dick's Food Store's Ribbon Cutting Ceremony. Food, drinks, cake and ice cream were served from 3:00pm - 6:00pm on Monday, September 28, 2009.

Dick's Food Store is a family owned business since 1931 and has a chain of three stores. Coincidentally three generations now represent Dick's Food Stores. Albert Dick, brother Bill Dick and brother-in-law, George Hyak began the first store in 1931.

All three generations were present at the Ribbon Cutting.

"We do appreciate the opportunity to serve this community and the surrounding area. It is an honor and privilege 'for our family to serve your family.'" commented one of the owners, Mrs. Karen Hyak Barton.
