The Seadrift Success was a newspaper published in Seadrift beginning in the year 1911. The following ads and articles have been taken from an old copy and reproduced. The date of the issue used is December 28, 1912. Geo. L. Rhea was the editor of Seadrift Success. The publication was published each Saturday and the subscription price was $1.50 Navigate to the fourth page where one may find an interesting column (first column, middle), In Swimming Christmas Night. It reads, "It may sound like a joke to our readers up north when we state that five Seadrift young men went bathing in the bay on Christmas night, but it is nevertheless true; and they say the water was not very cold and they enjoyed it immensely.
