Softball Tourney

Posted on 24 Apr 2010 In: General

The 2nd Annual Adult Co-ed Softball tournament will be held on Saturday June 12th 2010 in conjunction with the 30th Annual Shrimpfest. The tournament will be held at the Seadrift Sportsplex starting at 7:30am. The entry fee for the tournament is $80.00 per team and each team will be responsible for paying the umpires $10.00 before each game. The first place winners take 50% of the take from all of the entry fees and t-shirts with second place receiving t-shirts. The concession stands will be selling snacks, drinks, and beer.

All teams are responsible for supplying their own ASA approved softballs (Core 44). Men must bat opposite hand and can not bat 2 guys in a row. Women are allowed to bat back to back if the team desires. There must be an equal number of guys to gals on the field at all times. There will be no home run limit, so swing for the fences! The format of the tournament will depend on the amount of teams. Each player will receive a free one time entry into Shrimpfest to check out the festivities.

This looks to be even better than last year's tournament with people already getting excited. Sign up fast while slots are still available. Download the forms for registration and player waivers here. (Each player must have a signed waiver)
