Be sure to check out October 9th's edition of The Dolphin Talk for this week's column Discovering Seadrift - City Judge, Margaret Chatham. A couple of weeks ago I got to sit down with Margaret and discuss her position as Calhoun County's Justice of the Peace, Pct 4, Seadrift's City Judge and her retirement. I learn about Margaret's improvements to the position, but most important, I learn about how dedicated she has been to our community for over twenty-three years.

Margaret Chatham, Seadrift's City Judge
The article mentions City Hall's move from a spider-infested, water damaged building located on the 300 block of Cleveland St. to the City Hall we all know today. Once Griffey's Grocery Store, Seadrift's City Hall located on 501 S. Main Street held their grand opening ceremony on February 2, 1988. Below is the invitation which Margaret has kept all these years.
Thank you to Margaret Chatham for allowing me to interview her. As well thank you from all the members of the community for holding the position of City Judge for nearly twenty-three years at such a high standard.
Join the community to celebrate Margaret's retirement November 13, 2009, 2:00pm–5:00pm at City Hall.
