Recreation

Typical recreational activities often include fishing, boating, sailing, wind-surfing, water-skiing, bird watching and much more. Freshwater and saltwater fishing are central attractions to the Seadrift area. Fishing can also be enjoyed from the Bayfront Park sea wall, the new public pier, or wading fishing. The Seadrift harbor has boat stalls for lease, and a public boat ramp with two boat launches and a dock.

Seadrift also has several experienced hunting and fishing guides that provide trips for hunting wild game such as ducks and geese, or fishing for redfish or speckled trout.

You can also buy fresh seasonal seafood specialties such as shrimp, oysters, crab, stone crab claws, and other seafood from local seafood vendors...often fresh from the boat.

Area restaurants serve everything from authentic Mexican food to fresh seafood.

Seadrift is a popular site for "Winter Texans," who come to take advantage of our mild winters and enjoy all the pleasures our community has to offer. RV Spaces can be rented from the Beacon 7 RV Park.

We have a seawall on the bayfront where lots of kids enjoy swimming. There is also a nice playground there with covered picnic tables and BBQ pits. There aren’t really any beaches in Seadrift but there are a couple within a 15-20 min drive from here. Let us know if you need any more info!
    Thanks,
    Jax
