The Seadrift Chamber of Commerce dates back to since September 6, 1984. At this time a new constitution was written. The purpose for organizing a Chamber group was to advance and promote the well being of commerce, industry, agriculture, good government, civic interest and citizenship of Seadrift, Texas and trade areas.
Events the Chamber hosts annually include: Shrimpfest in the summer, Halloween Bash in the fall with a parade and Haunted House and a Christmas Tree Lighting in winter. New events the Chamber is hosting are Softball Tournaments which have been requested since the 1st Annual Softball Tournament was organized alongside Shrimpfest 2009. In 2010, Seadrifters will celebrate the 30th Annual Shrimpfest! It will be an event to remember, for a sponsorship opportunity please email the Chamber president at cindy@bbcoast.com.
